Goldy Locks was named by Darren’s wife, it worked as soon as she said it. It’s nothing to do with bears and porridge! The Locks are a reference to the 3 and 5 rise canal locks. Goldy Locks is brewed using quality pale and crystal malts give the beer a delicate toffee aftertaste and cascade hops provide a refreshing citrus fragrance.
CENTENNIAL / 4.4% GOLD / 500ml
Centennial, a golden ale, is brewed using pale crystal and rye malts produce a subtle malty base while the Centennial hop gives a delicate floral aroma and tangy aftertaste.
MOSAIC / 4.6% PALE / 500ml
This handcrafted pale bitter is brewed using quality malts and single hopped with the American hop Mosaic. The nose is greeted with invitingly complex aromas of fresh tropical fruit and pine. Refreshing flavours of citrus and herbal notes embrace the taste buds, finishing with a wonderful clean bitterness on the palate.
1848 / 4.8% STOUT / 500ml
1848 commemorates local activists in Bingley, who as part of the Chartist uprising were in involved in a disturbance at Bingley magistrates court and rescued two of their compatriots from custody. 1848 is a creamy stout brewed using pale, crystal and roast malts giving the beer a hint of chocolate and liquorice. Whilst Northern Brewer hops provide a pleasant bitter finish.
BLANTYRE / 5.0% RUBY / 500ml
Blantyre is a reference to the Dowager Lady Blantyre, who for 30 years during summer regularly sat, read and enjoyed the scenery from her favourite spot in the St Ives estate near Bingley. Blantyre, a robust ruby ale, is brewed using quality malts and single hopped with the British hop Bramling Cross. This assertive, well-rounded hop brings a wonderful balance to the rich malty tones. Earthy spicy aromas present first, followed with flavours of fruity blackcurrant and spice, finishing with a smooth bitterness at the end.
JAMESTOWN / 5.4% AMERICAN PALE / 500ml
Jamestown is a nod to the endeavour and determination of the settlers who landed and created the 1st British colony in the Americas in 1607. Jamestown is an American pale ale brewed using pale, crystal and Munich malts provide the backbone whilst Chinook, Crystal and Simcoe hops provide the hop kick giving notes of grapefruit and apricot.
